The Week Wines Dinners

JOIN OUR WINE EDITOR, BRUCE PALLING, FOR AN INTIMATE EVENING OF FOOD AND FINE WINES IN THE HEART OF LONDON’S WEST END.

Following the success of our wine pairing dinners earlier this year, we’re excited to announce two upcoming events at Noizé, the exciting new French restaurant owned by Mathieu Germond, former co-owner and manager of Michelin starred Pied à Terre.

These events are a fascinating way to explore wines from a certain region and learn about the history of the estates they come from. The wines will be paired with a four course dinner, meticulously designed by Mathieu Germond to  complement the evening, and you’ll be able to speak to the winemaker during the evening and meet other like-minded guests.

Dates: Tuesday 16 October or Tuesday 13 November 2018
Time: 6.30pm - 11pm
Location: Noizé, 39 Whitfield Street, London, W1T 2SF

Tickets for each event cost £99 per person, and include welcome drinks, a four course dinner paired with wine, plus a goody bag. Save £10 with your exclusive code (sent via email or in a recent copy of The Week magazine).

Tuesday 16 October, 2018 - Bordeaux, France  |  Château Picque Caillou

Paulin Calvet will join us from Château Picque Caillou, one of the leading estates in Pessac-Léognan. Owners Paulin and Isabelle Calvet not only live at the Château, but are deeply involved in the day to day running of the vineyards and wine making. They produce a wine of great depth and beauty, a style that is classic, elegant and full of charm. Paulin will be presenting a selection of wines from his cellar - an evening not to be missed for any fan of Bordeaux wines.

The following wines will be served with a four-course dinner:

WHITE
Château Picque Caillou Blanc, Pessac-Leognan 2016

REDS
Château Picque Caillou Rouge, Pessac-Leognan 2014
Château Picque Caillou Rouge, Pessac-Leognan 2012

Tuesday 13 November, 2018 - Stellenbosch, South Africa  |  Glenelly Estate

In 2003, May de Lencquesaing – then owner of the famous Bordeaux Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande – purchased the Glenelly Estate in Stellenbosch. Nicolas Bureau, her grandson, will be hosting the evening. Glenelly wines reflect an old world style; so much so that many, if tasted blind, would likely be placed in France. A great opportunity to explore wines from the southern hemisphere.

The following wines will be served with a four-course dinner:

WHITES
Glass Collection Chardonnay
Estate Reserve Chardonnay

REDS
Estate Reserve Red and Lady May
Glass Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
