£12.50 per bottle (was £14.95)

Located on the fringes of Barbaresco, which, along with Barolo, produces Italy’s greatest reds. This isn’t powerful, but delicate and fragrant, more like a Gevrey-Chambertin. The Tintero family arrived in Piedmont from France before the First World War, and the estate is now run by the fourth generation. It is rare to find any Nebbiolo for less than double this. At this price, you would expect a clumsy, unripe wine, but far from it. Pale, with a charming floral nose, this could be drunk without food or with white meats and fish.
